Collation: Vol. 1- iv, 225 p. + 34 folding engraved plates; Vol. 2 & iv, 115, [2] [1 & blank], [2- adv.]p. + 8 folding engraved plates. Spines with panels separated by parallel gilt lines. Title and volume number on separate leather labels in upper panels. There is small loss to top of spine on volume 2 and weakness and break in lower portion (ca. 4cm) of front hinge of volume 1. There is some loss of marble paper along the fore edges of boards of both volumes with repair to cover of volume 2. Text block has speckled red on all edges for both volumes. Internal condition is very good with only occasional small damp stain in upper right corner of leaves not affecting text. Very Good 1/4 Leather (Item ID: 0000135)
