This is an uncut, partially unopened copy with very minor wear to wrappers, which are protected by glassine cover. The internal condition is excellent. This is a true first printing with Crété's imprint on the verso of the half title and on page 400, and by Baillière's five-city imprint on the title page. Later printings bear Martinet's imprint and is accompanied by Baillière's three-city imprint on the title page.
