Dr. Donald Cooksey was assosciate director of Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory when Dr. MacMillan did his research on discovery of neptunium in 1940 and for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1951 with Dr. Glenn Seaborg who discovered Plutonium (1941).Dr. Cooksey was a noted physicist having published a number of papers on his own research.
