Collation: [xvi] [1] 2-904, [96- Tables] pp. + [44] leaves of plates, many folding, one loosely inserted from another copy. The portrait of Leybourn by White is present as frontispiece. There are several maps in text. The binding has raised bands on spine, which has been laid down on later leather. There is some loss in upper panel and ends to old leather spine. The covers have stamped decorative panel with inner and outer tooling. There is some loss to leather, as do corners. The pastedowns are absent. There are several bookplates of previous owners on verso of front cover. The condition of text is generally very good with only an occasional blemish or light damp staining on blank portions of leaves. The smaller plate III for p. 407 is probably an original plate, which has been removed from another copy by cutting around the plate marks. Very Good + Full Calf (Item ID: 000094)
