This is an imitation of Thomas Geminus’s compendium of the Fabrica and the Epitome, with the same copper plates used by Jacob Baumann with Latin inscriptions in place of the German. The copper title page has two skeletons as shield bearers, below the dissection and anatomic demonstration. This is a scarce title of Vesalius’s work with fine engravings for a number of major plates found in the Fabrica. (Choulant, p.195; Cushing VI.D-12; Waller 9919).
