Coat of arms labels on boards of both volumes removed leaving impression. Some wear to bottom of front covers. Marble end papers; all edges red. Internal condition very good. This is the first French edition with the Paris imprint appearing on some copies, as noted by Sabin. Major scientific and exploration expedition by two officers of Spanish navy with Juan covering the scientific aspects and Ulloa, an astronomer, assisted with the scientific studies and also historical observations.
