The spine has green morocco label with author, title and date in gilt. Collation: [iv] 1-126 [2-ad for present book by Le Begue] pp. + 3 folding copper engraved plates. There is repair to the title page where a portion of the lower right corner is missing. A piece of light brown paper has been pasted on the verso of the title page and the fore edge reinforced with a strip of paper on verso. This is a large paper, uncut copy that is very clean. The only exception is a brown paper flaw on p. 13/14 at the lower edge of the last text line. There is a repair to a tear into the plate area of the second plate. The area affected only involves the double line border and not any of the main images. Very Good. Item #0000456
This treatise provides a new method for extracting more abundant and finer oil from olives. The author provides information on a new mill invented for domestication of olive oil extraction which yields not only a larger quantity of oil but an oil that is free of rancidity.
