This is the fifth part of the series: Johann Euseb Voet's Beschreibungen und Abbildungen hart schaalich- ter Insekten Coleoptera Linn : Aus dem Original getreu übersetzt mit der in selbigem fehlenden Synonymie und beständigem Commentar versehen / von D. Georg Wolffgang Franz Panzer. The current treatise was done by Panzer at the request of Voet. The text consists of a complete scientific description of the individual beetles in Latin that includes appropriate citation for first identification and details on size for the different body parts critical for identification. This is followed by a commentary on the different species in German, noting any siginificant qualities and differences not mentioned in previous publications. The excellent engraved plates were done by Jacob Sturm and Valentine Bischoff whose name appears on plates 2-5. The remaining plates, done by Sturm, are not labeled as such.
