This is a very good copy of an important work by one of the pre-eminent anatomists of 18th century Germany. In this work Albinus was able to provide the detail he could not find in other works and, as such, it represents a major advance in anatomy and medical illustration. Provenance: Signature on first end paper of Wilhelm Pfitzner, 1890. (Choulant-Frank, p. 280; Cole, 1359; Heirs of Hippocrates, 525; Norman, 28; Wellcome vol. II, p. 26)
