Collation: 24 pp. The catalogue begins with an Advertisement about the nursery offerings followed by Hints for Planting, and Table Showing The Number of Trees or Plants on an Acre; Distances for Planting. This is followed by listing of Select Summer, Autumn and Winter Pears with prices and month for ripening. American trees noted by asterisk.There is a separate listing of Pyramid Pears on Quince Stocks and Additional Pears, namely "varieties that are considered new or such as not generally known to cultivators of the Pear. The next listings are for seasonal Apples, Cherries, Plums Quices, Peaches Nectarines, and Appricots. Next vine fruits,viz. Grapes, Currants, Strawberries, Raspberries, Gooseberries, and Blackberries. There are offerings of Rhubarb roots, Roses, Peonies, Japan Lilies, Tulips, Hedge Plants, Climbing Plants, Herbaceous Plants, and Evergreen Shrubs. The catalogue ends with Ornamental Trees, Shrubs and Evergreen Trees. The date of this catalogue was determined from a short note in the American Farmer for March 1859 that they had recently received this catalogue with the following quote: "It is quite a model catalogue…" but expresses concern over the spelling of the Phinnec (o?) or Boston pear Very Good Original Wraps (Item ID: 0000514)
