There a 66 original pen and ink drawings of full plants with root system (often uncolored) There are 3 uncolored and 63 hand colored drawings of plants in the text. These plants are generally well done and appear to be copies from Leonhard Fuchs or others with modification to fit small space in upper left corner of page. This manuscript is a collection of writings and prescriptions by Schein for treatment of different ailments. Schein was most likely a pharmacist who kept hand written notes over a period of a number of years and then had the leaves bound together in this volume. More recent owner was Paracelsus Apotheke in Berlin. Ink signature of Hans Hennecke present beneath stamp. This stamp is on paste down for each cover.
