Lucien Quélet has added notes and drawings to this collection of articles on cryptogamic botany by Montagne. Quélet's signature and date of purchase are on the title page. The 15 pages following the first article on morphology of plant cells contain specific numbered (146) literature citations for different plants that are mentioned in the text. Mr. Quélet has numbered each reference, many of which are noted in pencil in the margins of the text. This is a rare contribution to cryptogamic botany in 19th century France by two of its major scientists
